Commentaires du Broker
The Pearson 367 with its sturdy construction, layout, and more rugged seaworthiness (replacing the older 365), became a popular Bluewater cruiser with hundreds of thousands of miles logged. Today they can be found almost anywhere in the world and garner a loyal following. The boat is forgiving to sail, easily handled by a couple, while having enough accommodation and storage for a family of four. This one has crossed the Atlantic and with full importation documentation in order - and is especially set up for easy single handling.
The previous owner, for safety reasons, decided to remove all of the gas installation on this boat and her heating source has been replaced with a Newport log burner located in the saloon area.
The decks are uncluttered and wide enough to easily move around on under all weather conditions, especially now she has no standing rigging. Moulded bulwarks provide safe footing. Four large scuppers drain green water quickly along with the high cockpit coaming which sheds water around the cockpit and overboard in roughest seas.
Pearson’s construction quality is considered a cut above most production boats of its day and this boat is no exception. The hull is a sturdy hand-laid-up fiberglass strong enough to handle the rigors of coastal and offshore sailing. And her 3,300kg lead ballasted fin keel is well encapsulated and should stand all but the most severe grounding while the rudder is well protected by its skeg and provides adequate control.
She was re engined by the previous owner and benefits from what appears to be a very well-engineered and professional replacement of her engine with a 25hp Beta Marine engine and sail drive unit, and her new engine instrument panel records it has only run for 18.5 hours to date!
The vessel also benefits from monitor wind vane self-steering, a new 1500w windlass and dual battery banks, charge controllers and solar panels. All internal lights are LED - there are also 12v USB charging points throughout the boat.
The owner has informed us that his vessel was professionally converted from a cutter rig to an Aero Junk Rig sail plan for easy single-handed sailing. Unfortunately, since owning this vessel the current owner has never found the time to sail her, hence the reason he has decided to sell her. She is easily single handed with the self-tacking rig, single halyard, and twin downhaul reefing lines. The sail self-stacks for reefing.
