Boatshed London are pleased to offer this beautiful 42ft Dutch Barge for sale with residential mooring at Poplar Dock Marina in E London.
Recently renovated internally to make this a bright and comfortable liveaboard, this characterful Tjalk is enviably positioned in the marina giving it great views across the dock from the open cockpit, a great place to sit out in the summer.
There is a double cabin in the bow (with restricted headroom) and bathroom with shower and elsan loo. The seating area in the saloon converts into a second double. The galley has a gas cooker and fridge/freezer. The boat is heated by a diesel stove that also heats the radiators. Hot water comes from an electric immersion heater.
The residential license is fully transferable on payment of a 5% fee to the marina (of the sale price). Current mooring fees are £8,340 p.a. paid upfront or £9,104 paid monthly. The marina has excellent transport links and residents' parking. Blackwall DLR (5 mins) and Canary Wharf (12 mins) provide great access to central London and there is a great community spirit amongst the residents with regular communal events.
The boat was surveyed in December 2016 and the hull was reported to be in good condition having been overplated in 2008 and epoxied at the same time.
