The first thing you notice on this classic wooden sedan cruiser is the raised bridge deck, which is well-protected by a streamlined wood frame windshield.
As you board from the aft, you get a sense of the roominess with a large open cockpit, which has an updated canvas full enclosure. There's a perfect spot for entertaining with folding chairs and table.
The helm features a fold-up padded bench seat, a classic Cruis Along signature wooden steering wheel, and easily accessible controls and instrumentation.
When you step down into the cabin through the fold-back doors you get a comfy, nostalgic feeling. To starboard there's a cushy sofa which converts into a two-berth bunk bed. More forward starboard is the galley, complete with ample countertop space and sink (with hand pump), lower icebox, portable gas stove, toaster oven and cupboard storage.
The forepeak consists of stowage for anchor, chain, etc., closet space, and beautiful classic round mahogany and glass deck hatch.
To port is a nice-sized dinette which seats two comfortably and converts into a double berth. And just aft to port is a fully enclosed head with a manual marine toilet, vanity sink (with hand pump), and plenty of storage space.

This classic vessel is a rare find! With a recent survey done in July of 2021 she was found to be in sound structural condition. She's only in need of some cosmetic repairs, general cleaning and TLC. Since most of her interior and hardware are original, this vintage vessel is a prime candidate for historic wooden boat restoration.
In the 1958 new boat market this was regarded as a quality-built boat. Built in Solomons, MD., they used Chesapeake Bay as their testing grounds for seaworthiness and durability.
As stated in a 1958 news article featuring Cruis Along boat building; "from start to finish, it took workers an average of 680 hours to complete a 28-foot model as it moved through 14 separate stations along the production line."
These boat details are subject to contract.
